Many of our stylists work alongside talented assistants who are licensed cosmetologists or stylists in training, allowing us to provide a seamless, elevated experience from start to finish.
During your appointment, your stylist may have an assistant perform select services such as shampoos, gloss applications, or blow-dries under their guidance. This collaborative approach allows your stylist to stay focused on the artistry of your service while ensuring you receive the highest level of care and attention throughout your visit.
Our assistants are an important part of the Top Knot experience, and many of them are growing into the next generation of Top Knot stylists.
Salon Owner + Stylist
Alexandra damis Marcus
Alexandra is the founder and owner of Top Knot Salon + Beauty Bar. In 2017, she transformed a former vacuum repair shop into the welcoming, elevated salon she had always envisioned—a space where beautiful hair and genuine human connection come together.
Licensed since 2009, Alexandra specializes in lived-in blondes, dimensional brunettes, and hand-tied extensions. Passionate about continuing education, she’s committed to staying at the forefront of the industry while mentoring her team and creating an exceptional experience for every guest. Her goal is to design customized, healthy, low-maintenance hair that complements each client’s lifestyle and leaves them feeling confident.
When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll find Alexandra creating floral arrangements, working out, or searching for her next designer handbag.
Stylist
Jessica Torres
If you’re looking for effortlessly blended blondes, vibrant fashion colors, or a stylist who truly understands natural curls, Jess is your girl. Licensed since 2014, she specializes in blended blondes, vivid color, and natural curly cuts, creating customized looks that celebrate each client’s unique style and texture.
Outside the salon, Jess is usually headed to a concert or discovering new music. Her creative spirit and laid-back personality bring a fun, edgy energy to Top Knot, making every appointment feel relaxed, inspiring, and full of great conversation.

CHELSEA SCHMITT
If you’re dreaming of effortless, lived-in color or fuller, longer hair, Chelsea is here to make it happen. Licensed since 2013, she specializes in dimensional blondes and brunettes, seamless hand-tied extensions, and customized color designed to grow out beautifully.
When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll find her creating content or filming her latest PR unboxing. Her love for beauty and social media keeps her inspired by the latest trends, bringing fresh ideas and an elevated experience to every appointment.

Madison Aiello
As our newest stylist in training, she’s bringing fresh energy, a positive attitude, and a passion for learning to the Top Knot team. A recent cosmetology graduate, she’s excited to continue growing her skills while working alongside our experienced stylists and learning the Top Knot way.
Whether she’s assisting behind the scenes or helping create a seamless experience for our guests, her upbeat personality and willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed make her a valued part of the team. We can’t wait to watch her grow behind the chair, and we know you will too!

ANANYA SINGh
Ananya is our salon assistant and is currently pursuing her cosmetology license. You’ll often find her at the shampoo bowl, where her incredible shampoos and relaxing scalp massages have quickly become a guest favorite, or behind the scenes helping keep our busy salon running seamlessly.
Passionate about the beauty industry and always eager to learn, Ananya is excited to begin welcoming clients behind the chair after becoming licensed next year. We can’t wait for you to watch her journey unfold!
